VP Traditional and Digital Public Relations – New York, NY

The individual will manage client relationships and internal teams for key accounts, oversee work flow and processes for PR and Content Marketing teams and secure positive traditional and digital press coverage on behalf of the agency’s clients.

Essential Duties and Aptitudes

  • Create public relations programs that support clients’ brand positioning, messaging and goals
  • Work as part of Didit’s integrated marcomm team to incorporate public relations programs into overall communications plans
  • Utilize the appropriate mix of traditional public relations, event activations, influencer marketing and content creation, dissemination
  • Present programs to clients
  • Compose talking points for clients’ spokespeople
  • Own client relationships; providing on-going public relations counsel
  • Leverage and build mainstream, business and trade media relationships to increase positive coverage for clients and their initiatives/programs
  • Manage Public relations team to:
    • Build and maintain media lists
    • Create highly effective written press materials
    • Execute pitches and outreach to press targets
    • Manage media inquiries and interview requests
    • Produce regular reports and analysis on media coverage, special projects and events
    • Maintain client and Didit on-line press rooms

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, journalism or related studies
  • 5+ years of public relations work with advanced job responsibilities
  • Demonstrated results in public relations work, client service and account leadership
  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Passion for both traditional and digital public relations
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with plan execution
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Essential Technical Skills:

  • MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Adobe Acrobat (create and edit PDFs)
  • Knowledge of PR software and news wire platforms
